Rev-A-Shelf 6581 Sink Front 14″ Tip-Out Tray, Standard, White, 2 Pack

I had two Rev-A-Shelf tip-out trays installed in my dual sink bathroom around 2002, style 6571-63. These trays are now discontinued due to product design flaws. First, instead of the screws passing through the body of the tray, as they currently do, they went through two thin and easily breakable plastic loops that protruded from the sides of each tray. Second, instead of the current completely smooth, one piece design, each tray was made of three pieces: one large piece that comprises the front, bottom and back of each tray, and two glued on side pieces. The gap between the larger piece and the smaller sides collected dust, so the entire tray needed to be removed, soaked in warm soapy water, and scrubbed to get clean. Finally, the tray had non-functional wide horizontal grooves that also made cleaning difficult.Model 6581 is a vast improvement! No fragile screw loops, and no dust-collecting gaps or horizontal grooves! It does have some raised vertical lines, but those are unlikely to collect dust or debris.Please note that if you substitute model 6581 for the older 6571-63, you will need to drill new holes, as the old holes in your sink front will not align with the holes in the new tray. If you tighten the screws until they lightly rest on the tray, you can easily remove the tray for cleaning. Not that I think this will be necessary, since the smooth design makes cleaning a breeze!
